Mogadishu (MfaSomalia) –  The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Isse Awad, concluded today at the Foreign Ministry building in the capital Mogadishu a two-week diplomatic training course for 19 women employees in 14 departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in the presence of the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Balal Mohamed Osman, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Mohamud Abdullahi Siraji, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Amb. Mohamed Ali-Nur Haji.

Minister Ahmed Awad thanked the volunteer trainers for the institute for their efforts in developing employee skills, noting that Swedish trainers will provide a course to enhance the skills of trainees at the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, declaring the importance of teaching employees in Somali writing correctly spelling to avoid any language problems while also teaching them foreign languages ​​within a strategy Serving Somali foreign policy.

The Director of the Diplomatic Institute, Mr. Yusuf Alasow Mohamud, confirmed that the institute has held three diplomatic training courses since its reopening on December 2, 2019, and has trained 45 government employees from the Foreign Ministry, the Presidency and the Prime Minister, as well as the offices of the Speakers of the People’s House and the Senate of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.
