Tripoli (MFASomalia) – On February 27, 2018, His Excellency the Ambassador of Somalia to Benelux and the European Union, Dr. Ali Said Faqi, on a mission entrusted to him on the 16th day to repatriate Somali migrants detained in Libya, this errand is a humanitarian act of utmost importance to reduce immigration and endanger life.
Ambassador Ali Faqi, accompanied by Charge d’Affaires of the Somali Embassy in Libya, Mr. Muhiaddin Mohamed Kalmoi, visited prisons and detention centers in Tripoli and some surrounding towns and villages to collect a large number of Somali immigrants for voluntary repatriation to Somalia in order to rescue them from the scourge of the seas, oceans and deserts and the great dangers at the crossings.
